Swing into ’08 at the Hall!

Come and join the community and three local bands to Swing into 2008 on New Year’s Eve. Join Les Lost and The Navigators, returning from last year’s premier performance, then dance to Zorah Starr and Friends. Finally we will swing and sway to the music of Big House Voodoo, Amy Heggie and Rick McMullen’s hot new group, (last heard at Mo and Leslie’s birthday party in November).

We encourage you to dress up, and sashay on down to the Hall for a start at 8:30 pm, and dance until 1:00 am. A bar and concession will be available. Remember last year? Bring potluck munchies to share with your group or the whole crowd. This year the Hall will be set up for dancing upstairs – lights, sound, glass ball, and room to dance – and have the bistro downstairs. We are also looking for decorating ideas and volunteers to help set up, sell tickets, and help with the bar, concession and the Yucckkky part – clean up. (Last year it was just Margaret and some band members who showed up the next day.) Anyone volunteering can look forward to a free evening of entertainment and fun. Call Margaret at 629-3669. Otherwise, admission is $25 per person (at Talisman and Southridge), Teens $10 and under 12 free.

And don’t forget the Lions Club Annual Polar Bear Swim, at Port Browning on New Years Day with splashdown sometime between 1 and 1:30 pm. Burrrrr!
